Subscriptions, cancellation and refunds
Prepared terms · Approved 12 October 2026 · not yet an offer for sale
Ordivum doesn’t sell subscriptions yet. These terms apply once sales open.
Who sells Plus
Ordivum is run by TDS Software Ltd, company number 17356701, registered office 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St. Edmunds, England, IP28 7DE. You can buy Ordivum Plus in two places. Who sells it to you depends on where you buy.
- In the iPhone app, Apple sells the subscription through the App Store. Apple takes payment, handles tax and billing, and deals with refunds, under Apple’s own terms.
- On ordivum.com, TDS Software Ltd sells the subscription to you. Stripe processes the card payment for us, but it doesn’t sell you anything. Your contract is with TDS Software Ltd, and we handle billing questions, cancellations, refunds and disputes. Email support@ordivum.com.
Wherever you buy, TDS Software Ltd provides the Ordivum service, and Plus works the same in the app and on the website.
Who can buy
You must be at least 13 to use Ordivum and to buy Plus, in the app or on the website. Checkout asks for your date of birth if we don’t already have it.
If you’re under 18, talk to a parent or guardian before you buy, and only use someone else’s card with their permission. In the iPhone app, a parent or guardian can approve purchases with Apple’s Ask to Buy.
On the website, Plus is sold to people in the United Kingdom only. If a payment comes from a card or billing address outside the UK, we may cancel the subscription and refund it in full.
Plus is for one person. It can’t be shared, including through Apple Family Sharing.
Price and renewal
The price shown is the total you pay. TDS Software Ltd isn’t registered for VAT, so no VAT is added on the website. The App Store price includes any tax Apple charges.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. Before you pay, the App Store or checkout shows the price, when you’ll be charged and when it renews. There are no usage charges or extras.
If we raise the price or change these terms, for example because our costs change, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it affects you, so you can cancel first. On the App Store, Apple also asks for your agreement to a price rise where its rules require it.
Reminders
If you subscribe on the website, we email you:
- 3 days before a free trial ends, with the price and the date you’ll be charged;
- 7 days before a yearly plan renews, with the price and how to cancel.
After you subscribe on the website, we email you a confirmation with the price, your renewal date, how to cancel, your right to cancel, and a link to these terms.
Free trial
If you haven’t had Plus before, you get a 14-day free trial. On the website, each account can have the trial once. In the app, Apple decides whether you can have it, and allows one free trial per Apple Account.
Cancel at any time during the trial and you pay nothing. If you don’t cancel, the plan you chose starts when the trial ends and you’re charged then.
Switching between monthly and yearly
On the website, switch in Plan → Manage subscription. The change applies straight away: you pay the new price, minus a credit for the unused part of your current period, and any credit left over comes off your next bills. If you switch during a free trial, the trial carries on and you’re first charged when it ends. In the app, Apple handles the switch under its rules: moving to yearly usually starts straight away, and moving to monthly starts at your next renewal.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, online, in a few clicks. You don’t need to contact us or give a reason. Cancelling stops your subscription renewing. You keep Plus until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then your account goes back to Free. Nothing you’ve logged is deleted. Cancelling doesn’t by itself give a refund; to ask for one, see below.
- Bought on the website: Plan → Manage subscription → Cancel on ordivum.com. This opens a secure page run by Stripe for us. You can also email support@ordivum.com and we’ll cancel it for you.
- Bought in the app: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Ordivum, or Manage subscription in Ordivum’s Settings. Only you can cancel an Apple subscription; we can’t do it for you. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your trial ends or your subscription renews.
An App Store subscription stays with the Ordivum account it was bought for. Signing in to a different Ordivum account on the same Apple Account doesn’t move it across.
Your right to cancel and refunds (website)
To ask for any refund, email support@ordivum.com from the email address on your Ordivum account.
Your first payment. If it’s the first time you’ve paid for Plus on your account, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of that payment, for any reason. This applies once per account.
Your legal right to cancel. UK law gives you 14 days from the day you subscribe to change your mind. At checkout you tick a box asking us to start Plus straight away. If you cancel within those 14 days and the full refund above doesn’t apply, we refund what you paid minus the days you’ve already used. If your subscription starts with a free trial, almost all of those 14 days fall inside the trial, so cancelling costs nothing. If the trial ends and you’re charged before the 14 days are over, you can still cancel and get that payment back in full.
To use this right, tell us clearly that you want to cancel and get your refund: email support@ordivum.com, or send this message: “To TDS Software Ltd, support@ordivum.com: I cancel my Ordivum Plus subscription. Ordered on [date]. Name: [your name]. Email on my account: [your email]. Address (optional): [your address]. Date: [date].” Cancelling in Plan → Manage subscription only stops your subscription renewing; it isn’t a refund request.
Yearly payments. If your yearly plan renews, or you switch to yearly, and you didn’t mean to, email us within 14 days of that payment. We’ll cancel it and refund the days you haven’t used.
Monthly renewals aren’t refunded, but you can cancel at any time and you won’t be charged again.
Buyers under 18. If the buyer is under 18, they or their parent or guardian can ask us to cancel at any time. We’ll cancel straight away and refund the most recent payment in full.
A card used without permission. If the card’s owner didn’t agree to the payment, for example a child used a parent’s card, the owner can email us before contacting their bank. We’ll cancel the subscription and refund every payment taken from that card. This is usually much faster than a bank dispute. If the owner did agree to the purchase, the rule for buyers under 18 above applies instead.
How refunds are paid. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, within 14 days of you telling us you’re cancelling (or, for other refunds, of us agreeing to them). Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
A refund that goes beyond your legal rights, like the full first-payment refund, is our choice. We may refuse it if you’ve had one before or if a request looks like misuse. This never limits your legal rights.
If you buy in the app, Apple handles refunds. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t refund App Store purchases ourselves.
Payment problems, refunds and disputes (website)
If a payment fails, Stripe tries your card again for up to 2 weeks. You keep Plus for up to 14 days while it tries, or less if payments on your account have failed before in the last year. If your first payment after a free trial fails, Plus ends straight away and comes back if a later try works. If every try fails, your subscription ends and your account goes back to Free. We won’t chase you for the unpaid amount.
If we refund your most recent payment in full, Plus ends straight away and the subscription is cancelled, so you aren’t charged again. If we refund an earlier payment, your subscription carries on unless you ask us to cancel it too.
If you dispute a payment with your bank, Plus pauses and the subscription is cancelled while the bank decides. If the bank decides in our favour, you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for. Please email us first; we can usually sort a problem faster than a bank can.
Beta tester access
Some people get Plus free as beta testers, with a personal code entered in Plan on ordivum.com. Tester access is free, needs no card and never turns into a paid subscription. Each code works once, for one account. We can end tester access, and we’ll give you at least 7 days’ notice first. When it ends, your account goes back to Free, or to your paid subscription if you have one.
Deleting your account
Deleting your account stops any website subscription from renewing before your billing details are erased from Ordivum. If you have an App Store subscription, cancel it with Apple first; deletion can’t finish while it’s active. Deleting your account ends access straight away and doesn’t by itself give a refund. Your rights to cancel and to a refund aren’t affected. We keep tax and accounting records of your payments for 6 years, as the law requires (see the Privacy Notice).
Service credits
If Ordivum is down because of something we control for 24 hours in a row, or 48 hours in total in one billing period, we’ll refund the affected time, rounded up to whole days, from that period’s payment. Email support@ordivum.com to ask. If you bought in the App Store, email us and we’ll extend your renewal date through Apple instead.
Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights, including your rights if the service isn’t provided with reasonable care and skill or isn’t as described.
